WHO WE ARE
STLTH Hockey is a spring-based program that aims to provide the players and the parents with the best spring hockey that Calgary has to provide.
With a paid professional coach, your players will develop a deeper knowledge of the game both on and off the ice.
Practices will be focused on real game situational awareness & hockey sense.
Forwards will focus on
how to enter the zone with/without the puck
how to gain the puck in the offensive zone from the defense
positioning
passing
skating
shooting
Defense will focus on
how to protect their zone with/without the puck
how to gain the puck in the defensive zone from the forwards attacking
positioning

Dryland will focus on
Core-Strength & Conditioning
Stamina conditioning
Muscle development (age appropriate understanding limits and boundaries for the body)
off-ice bonding
Goalies will focus on
Our aim is to secure a prestige goalie coach for both age categories.

Meet the Head Coach
Brendan Tendeck
Hockey Coach & Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Brendan Tendeck’s hockey journey began in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta, where he played quadrant hockey with the Northwest Calgary Athletic Association. His early promise was evident as he progressed through the U15 AA Bronks, U15 AAA Flames, and Minor Midget AAA Stampeders. His talent and dedication earned him an invitation to the Portland Winterhawks' main camp in the WHL.
Driven by a passion for the game and a growing love for mentorship, Tendeck transitioned into coaching. For the 2025/26 season, he will be once the ice and behind the bench for the Calgary North Stars U15AA team as an Assistant Coach. Previously, he served as a coach with the CRHA U15 Prep program during the 2024–25 season. His coaching resume also includes valuable experience with SDR Academy, Winsport, and the Canadian International Hockey Academy (CIHA).
Beyond the bench, Tendeck is the founder and owner of SHIFT Sports Performance, where he trains hockey players to become stronger, faster, and more explosive athletes. With over five years of experience in sports performance and personal training, he brings a unique blend of hockey insight and strength & conditioning expertise.
His journey in fitness and athletic development began while working at Edgemont Athletic and the YMCA. Over time, he combined practical experience with formal education and certification to become a respected professional in the field.
