Meet the Head Coach

Brendan Tendeck

Hockey Coach & Strength and Conditioning Specialist

Brendan Tendeck’s hockey journey began in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta, where he played quadrant hockey with the Northwest Calgary Athletic Association (NWAA). His early promise was evident as he progressed through the U15 AA Bronks, U15 AAA Flames, and Minor Midget AAA Stampeders. His talent and dedication earned him an invitation to the Portland Winterhawks' main camp in the WHL.

Driven by a passion for the game and a growing love for mentorship, Tendeck transitioned into coaching. For the 2025/26 season, he was on the ice and behind the bench for the Calgary North Stars U15AA team as an Assistant Coach.  Previously, he served as a coach with the CRHA U15 Prep program during the 2024–25 season. His coaching resume also includes valuable experience with SDR Academy, Winsport, and the Canadian International Hockey Academy (CIHA).

Beyond the bench, Tendeck is the founder and owner of SHIFT Sports Performance, where he trains hockey players to become stronger, faster, and more explosive athletes. With over five years of experience in sports performance and personal training, he brings a unique blend of hockey insight and strength & conditioning expertise.

His journey in fitness and athletic development began while working at Edgemont Athletic and the YMCA. Over time, he combined practical experience with formal education and certification to become a respected professional in the field.
